BlackBoost Honda Civic Type R (FL5) - K20C1 2.0L I4 Turbo Cold Air Intake System

Description

Unleash the full potential of your Honda Civic Type R (FL5) with the BlackBoost Cold Air Intake System. Engineered for maximum airflow, sharper throttle response, and an aggressive induction sound, this system is designed to complement the performance-focused nature of the 2.0L Turbo powerplant. Featuring a high-flow synthetic dry filter, precision-engineered intake piping, and a direct bolt-on installation, the BlackBoost Intake delivers performance you can feel every time you hit the throttle. Why Upgrade Your Airbox? For performance-focused modifications, the air intake system stands as a pivotal area for optimization. The original equipment airbox often presents limitations in airflow and filter surface area, thereby restricting your engine's inherent capabilities. The BlackBoost Cold Air Intake System is precisely engineered to address these shortcomings. It delivers maximum airflow while preserving low intake temperatures, all within the confines of your engine compartment. Cutting-Edge Design and Exceptional Durability The BlackBoost Cold Air Intake System is engineered with a focus on both performance and longevity. Every component is carefully designed using advanced CAD modeling and real-world testing to ensure optimal airflow, precise fitment, and long-term reliability. Built from premium materials and finished to the highest standards, the system is designed to withstand the demanding conditions of daily driving and spirited performance use. Detachable Airbox Lid for Maximum Airflow The airbox features a removable lid design, allowing users to easily switch between a sealed cold-air configuration and an open-air setup. With the lid removed, the intake can draw a greater volume of air, enhancing induction sound and maximizing airflow for enthusiasts seeking a more aggressive driving experience. Synthetic Composite Intake Pipe & Coupler The intake system utilizes a lightweight synthetic composite intake pipe engineered to resist heat transfer and maintain consistent intake temperatures. Integrated into the intake pipe is a 1/8" NPT Pre-Turbo Methanol Port , providing a convenient solution for methanol injection setups without requiring additional modifications. Paired with a high-quality reinforced silicone coupler, this combination delivers excellent durability, flexibility, and a secure connection while ensuring smooth, unrestricted airflow from the filter to the turbocharger. CNC Machined Turbo Flange At the heart of the intake system is a precision CNC-machined turbo flange designed to provide a perfect seal and seamless transition into the turbo inlet. Manufactured from high-grade aluminum, the flange ensures maximum strength, exceptional fitment accuracy, and reliable performance under high boost conditions. Turbo Heat Shield To further improve intake efficiency, the system incorporates a dedicated turbo heat shield that helps isolate the intake components from radiant engine bay heat. By reducing heat exposure around the turbocharger area, the shield helps maintain cooler intake temperatures and supports more consistent performance during demanding driving conditions. Twin High-Flow Synthetic Dry Air Filter The system features twin 5.5-inch high-flow synthetic dry air filters designed to maximize airflow while providing excellent filtration efficiency. Unlike traditional oiled filters, the dry filter media requires less maintenance and eliminates the risk of oil contamination on sensitive sensors. The large 5.5-inch filtration surface area allows the engine to breathe more freely while maintaining superior protection against contaminants, delivering an ideal balance of performance, filtration, and long-term reliability. BlackBoost Bonnet Scoop The BlackBoost Bonnet Scoop is designed to channel fresh ambient air directly toward the intake system. By increasing the supply of cool outside air, the bonnet scoop helps improve airflow efficiency and enhances the intake's ability to maintain lower air temperatures. Its integrated design not only contributes to performance but also adds a distinctive motorsport-inspired appearance under the hood.
